While working on the film Basu Paribar, Suman Ghosh got acquainted with Aparna Sen. However, it was during an interview on the actress’s birthday in 2021 that he decided to create a documentary on her. The following year, Paroma: A Journey with Aparna Sen was made. After being screened at several national and international film festivals, Bengali cinephiles will now have the chance to watch the documentary at the Kolkata International Film Festival. With a larger audience in mind, Suman has decided to release the documentary on January 3 on the big screen.
