BCCI Unveils New IPL Player Retention Guidelines

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced updated guidelines for player retention ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The new regulations allow franchises to retain a total of six players through retention and right-to-match cards. Notably, one of the retained players must be an uncapped Indian domestic cricketer, while the remaining five can be international players,Indian or foreign.

The retention prices are as follows:

First Retention: 18 Crores

Second Retention: 14 Crores

Third Retention: 11 Crores

Fourth Retention: 18 Crores

Fifth Retention: 14 Crores

Uncapped Domestic Cricketer: 4 Crores
