Hemant Soren is set to make history by taking the oath as Jharkhand’s Chief Minister for a second consecutive term on Thursday in Ranchi. He has invited West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to the swearing-in ceremony.
The opposition alliance ‘INDIA’ won a decisive victory in Jharkhand, securing 56 out of 81 Assembly seats. Hemant met Governor Santosh Gangwar to claim the mandate to form the government and submitted his resignation as outgoing Chief Minister. He announced he would be sworn in on November 28, though it is unclear how many legislators will join him as ministers.
