BJP MP Jyotirmoy Singh Mahato on Friday urged the Norwegian Nobel Committee to reconsider the legacy of Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, who leads Bangladesh’s interim government. Singh shared a letter he had sent to the committee on X, stating, “I am deeply troubled as Hindus in Bangladesh endure unimaginable suffering under Yunus’ leadership—widespread killings, destruction of temples and persecution. Nobel Committee, how can a ‘peace laureate’ permit this? Act now to condemn the atrocities and preserve the integrity of the Prize.”
