To address issues such as inflation, lack of strict monitoring at the Indo-Bangladesh border giving way to illegal arms and cattle smuggling and to make announcements regarding the disbursal and updated number of beneficiaries in the government schemes such as Krishak Bandhu, Lakshmir Bhandar, Banglar Bari, Manabik and widow pension etc. Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee held a press conference at the administrative Headquarters of the state, Nabanna.
During the session, she made it clear that she would not think twice even if she had to make a re-shuffle within the CID, if needs be, to ensure that a corruption-free investigation is carried out in all concerned criminal activities.
