CM Mamata Banerjee Interacts With Masses, Distributes Chocolate Among Children on her Visit to the Hills

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was seen distributing chocolates to children and speaking with tourists and local businessmen in Darjeeling. After nearly two years, she arrived in the hills on Monday for a three-day North Bengal tour. She spent Tuesday walking nearly five kilometers through Darjeeling, starting from Richmond Hill.

It is no surprise that Mamata holds the hills of Bengal dearly, as she has even written songs about Darjeeling. She was seen interacting with locals, even making momo and tea with them!

She is scheduled to meet GTA officials to discuss audits, outstanding dues, and development board progress.

Ahead of Wednesday’s by-elections in six constituencies, Mamata urged party supporters at Bagdogra Airport to ensure their candidates’ victories.
