Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have opted for the maximum six retentions ahead of the IPL Auction, with rising star Rinku Singh emerging as their top pick. The explosive left-hander has been retained for a whopping ₹13 crore, reflecting his value as a key player in the franchise’s plans.
Other significant retentions include Varun Chakaravarthy (₹12 crore), Sunil Narine (₹12 crore), and Andre Russell (₹12 crore), maintaining KKR’s reliance on their seasoned match-winners. Young pacer Harshit Rana and all-rounder Ramandeep Singh were also retained at ₹4 crore each, adding depth to the squad.
Heading into the auction, KKR have ₹51 crore remaining in their purse but no Right to Match (RTM) cards available. With their core in place, the team will look to make strategic additions to bolster their lineup for the upcoming season.
