Mohun Bagan went eight points clear on top of the ISL table, with a 1-0 win vs arch-rivals East Bengal, in the Kolkata Derby in Guwahati on Saturday. Jaime Maclaren’s goal in the 2nd-minute proved to be the match-winner as Bagan cruised to an easy win. The result could have been 2-0, with Manvir Singh missing a sitter in the first-half. The match venue was shifted from Salt Lake Stadium to Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati after the Bidhannagar Police, under whose jurisdiction the original match venue falls, cited concerns over inadequate security because of the Gangasagar Mela.
