Japanese tech giant NTT Data is set to launch its data centre in West Bengal soon, with plans to significantly expand its presence in the state. At the Infocom event organised by ABP Group on Thursday, NTT Data India’s executives revealed that they have already invested Rs 2,000 crore in building the data centre. NTT Data India’s CEO, Avinash Joshi, emphasised that the company’s interest in increasing its presence in the region is driven by the state’s rich talent pool. According to sources, the data centre is being constructed on 7.5 acres of land in New Town’s Silicon Valley. Additionally, NTT Data India is also planning to establish a cable landing station in the state.
