Parineeti Chopra is back and not going anywhere, as she promised during the release of Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila in April this year.
Parineeti is set to return with a romantic comedy for Netflix India. The details of the film are currently shrouded in secrecy, but we hear it goes into production in two weeks, with primary shooting locations planned in Goa and Mumbai. Parineeti has begun her prep and is excited to get back to a film set after a 15-month hiatus; her last shoot was in August 2023, when she filmed a song with Akshay Kumar for Mission Raniganj.
The romantic comedy marks Parineeti’s third collaboration with Netflix India, following Ribhu Dasgupta’s The Girl On The Train and Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila biopic, co-starring Diljit Dosanjh. Parineeti aims to launch a new chapter in her career with this project and is looking to return to work fully in the coming year. She is also discussing several big-ticket films and a web series, but nothing has concretely materialised on that front.
