The 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the agricultural farm premises in the Polba Dadpur block. Actress Rachana Banerjee graced the event. On this occasion, the Member of Parliament from Hooghly danced joyously hand in hand with tribal women to the rhythm of traditional music.
Among others present at the event were Member of Parliament Mitali Bag, MLA Asima Patra, District Magistrate Mukta Arya, Chandannagar Police Commissioner Amit P. Javalgi, Superintendent of Rural Police Kamanashish Sen, and other district officials.
