Students Absent From School, HS Test After Money for Tabs Gets Credited

While the Govt. of West Bengal means to strengthen the digital and advanced learning process within the students of govt. schools, it seems like they have other priorities.

It was reported that, right after the money for tabs (₹10 thousand per student) was credited, a number of students started missing school and even the mandatory Test before Higher Secondary Examination.

Teachers are concerned that the number of school drop-outs might increase from next year, as the govt. plans to grant this money to the students as soon as they get promoted to the 11th standard. Although education department officials have dismissed such probabilities, stating that, it is normal for some students to miss the Test exam. The money for tabs has nothing to do with it and that, it has become an essential part of learning now.
