Winter is setting in across West Bengal, with temperatures dropping, particularly in the north and south. On Sunday, Kolkata’s minimum temperature fell to 19°C, down from 19.3°C on Saturday.
Other districts, including Birbhum, Jhargram and hill stations like Kalimpong, saw temperatures below 15°C, with Kalimpong at 9.4°C. Strong winds will further lower night temperatures, especially in southern Bengal and a 2-3°C drop is expected in northern regions near the Himalayas. No rain is in forecast and dry weather will continue over the next two days.
